During one of Peter’s missions, fans can locate where Kraven had been testing Gargan’s armor and researching his powers. In Marvel’s Spider-Man, fans fight against The Vulture after Octavius releases several of Peter’s infamous villains out into the city. After Toomes was caught and thrown back into R.A.F.T., Kraven sought out the winged villain for a new hunt. It’s not clear when Kraven divided to hunt Vulture, but Toomes was inevitably killed by the villain without alerting Peter or Miles. While playing as MJ during the zoo sequence in which she attempts to save Dr. Connors, fans can get a glimpse at some villains that Kraven had already hunted, and what he has to say about them. Surprisingly, Kraven admitted that Shocker was tough at first, as he “was fighting to survive,” rather than to win.

For Platinum you need 100% district completion which requires finding all 160 collectibles. The collectibles get marked when unfogging the map (except Spider-Bots) so they are easy to find. The map gets unfogged when reaching District Completion Level 2 (from finding Collectibles) or going everywhere manually to unfog a radius around you. All of the quest-related trophies come from the story and district completion. The only thing that doesn’t come automatically from collectibles are combat trophies and a few miscellaneous open world trophies.

But from a project this obviously big and expensive, it all feels disappointingly undercooked. All of this contributes to fighting back against crime in each district of New York, a city now twice the size of what we’ve seen before including the leafy residential roads of Queens and the bustling borough of Brooklyn. There are 14 unique districts, each with its own set of objectives to complete before you can unlock fast travel to that part of the map. Gliding is especially great for crossing long distances thanks to the numerous wind tunnels that carve their way through New York’s seemingly endless grid of streets flanked by art deco architecture and modern mirror-like skyscrapers. Of course, a hero is nothing without its villains, and Spider-Man’s rogues gallery is almost unparalleled.

Just when you think you’ve seen the last of Venom, the symbiote menace comes along and possesses MJ, turning her into Scream. You need to save MJ – who is now the host of the alien symbiote – and fight Scream as Peter Parker, which will lead you to your next confrontation with Venom and set up the final few bosses in the game. When Lizard is on the loose in NYC, Miles and Peter must chase it down and keep up the pursuit. Eventually, another phase will begin where you’re webbed onto him and have to dodge away from falling debris as you tail him up the side of a building. After a cutscene, you’ll face Lizard in his natural element – the sewers – where you’ll have to deplete his HP by wailing on him with your Spidey powers. By the time I rolled credits on the story I only had to spend 2 more hours chasing down collectibles and that platinum trophy was mine. New factions and units, such as flamethrower-wielding cultists that keep you at a distance, flying drones, and hunters who deploy laser grids above your head to limit aerial attacks keep you on your sticky toes. Certain enemies are weak to different types of abilities, such as electric or symbiote attacks, which also adds an enjoyable extra wrinkle to fights. It’s by no means revolutionary stuff, but a welcome added level of complexity that makes you consider which powers – or even which Spider-Man – are best for a given job. But you can play as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, switching between the heroic Spider-Men on your crime-fighting adventures to experience their individual gameplay abilities and story elements.

Those specs are roughly four to five years old at this point, so anything older might not be good enough here. With a PC like this, you’ll be able to shoot for 30fps gameplay at 1,280 x 720 using the very low graphics preset. It’ll be just about playable, but it won’t be as graphically appealing, and that’s also a low resolution.
